His research specialty are in the broad areas of electrical engineering and applied physics. ==Education== Deen 〔See article 〕 completed a B.Sc. degree in Mathematics and Physics at the University of Guyana in 1978, winning both the Chancellor's Medal 〔See article in Guyana Chronicle, U.G. top two students, Thursday January 4, 1979 in archives at www.guyanachronicle.com〕 as well as the Dr. Irving Adler's Prize for being the best mathematics student.
